At the 3rd Town of Clifton Park Open Space Celebration on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Historic Grooms Tavern, the Clifton Park community honored Isabel Prescott, local farmer, and owner of Riverview Orchards, with the 2016 Open Space Award, for her outstanding leadership in promoting the protection of Clifton Park’s farms and agricultural heritage. The recognition was part of the range of activities that comprised the town’s Open Space Day held at various parks and nature preserves.

This was the second year that the Town has awarded an Open Space Award.  In 2015, Frank Berlin, a member of the Open Space, Trails Committee was the recipient at the town’s 2nd Annual Open Space Day held May 16, 2015.
