Honey Bee Habitat Project: Pick-Up Starter Bee Boxes

May 6, 2016 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Pick-Up Honey Bee Starter Boxes, at 475 Vischer Ferry Road, the house/garage next door (north), for placement on your property to help the native Honey Bee populations improve their chances of survival.  Any native bee swarms will be collected by a local beekeeper for overwintering locally.

You may park at Town Hall, and walk over, or park directly in the driveway at 475 Vischer Ferry Road.  A volunteer or staff person will be available onsite to help explain the project, and answer any questions.

A second opportunity to pick up bee boxes will be on Saturday, May 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Historic Grooms Tavern, at the intersection of Grooms Road and Sugar Hill Road, Town of Clifton Park.

Boxes are available on a first come, first serve basis.  Each box is available on loan, for the growing season, and must be returned to Town Hall by Sept. 15, 2016.  For more information, please call the Open Space Coordinator at (518) 371-6054.
