Parent & Me Hikes: Nature Education Programs are being offered on Wednesday mornings in March 2017 by Kelsi Clark, Program Facilitator, through the Town of Clifton Park’s Parks & Recreation Program.
Come explore Clifton Park’s Open Spaces by visiting a different park or nature preserve each week! This guided excursion offers a nice morning of movement and learning for young children and parents/grandparents who are looking to get outdoors this Spring. Each hike will last approximately one hour and will incorporate a nature education theme. Most of the walks will be “jogging-stroller-friendly” but a child backpack or front carrier is recommended, dependent upon the age of the child participants. Please dress appropriately for trail conditions, as March can be muddy.
March 1 was a visit to the Vischer Ferry Nature & Historic Preserve. The remaining Dates & Sites are Wednesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. on:
- March 8 Northwoods Nature Preserve, between 38 & 40 Shadow Wood Way
- March 15 Garnsey Park, Route 146
- March 22 Ushers Road State Forest, Ushers Road
- March 29 Kinns Road Park, 625 Kinns Road
