The 25th Anniversary of Clifton Park’s Farm Fest is happening this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 16 and 17, from 10 am to 5 pm both days. Selected events start at 8 am. This self-guided, public touring event is open to all, as a celebration of farming and agriculture in the Town of Clifton Park. Apple-picking, farm tours, hayrides, farm animals, horse rides, and enjoying country food and music are all part of the array of weekend offerings. There are lots of opportunities to visit working farms and orchards: Riverview Orchards on Riverview Road; Bowman Orchard on Sugar Hill Road and Shepherd’s Hey Farm on Riverview Road. Plus, there are additional featured activities at the Clifton Park – Halfmoon Library; Historic Grooms Tavern; Amity Reformed Church; and Vischer Ferry General Store.
A Pet Clinic will be featured at Riverview Orchards, on Saturday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pet adoptions will be available from a number of rescue groups that will be in attendance. Other activities include a wildlife exhibit, animal care demonstration, blessing of the pets, a $20 microchip clinic, Community Animal Response Team, and Saratoga County Sheriff K-9 demonstration.
