Learn to Fish Day in Clifton Park!
May 6, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
The Town of Clifton Park and its Open Space, Trails & Riverfront Committee are hosting the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) for a Learn-to-Fish Day event at the Barney Road Pond on Saturday, May 6, 2017. This event is a kick-off for the annual May celebration of open spaces in Town.
DEC staff will be available to help demonstrate how to fish, for all ages, and the benefits and values.
All are welcome between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. No equipment is necessary, as the DEC will have some poles to borrow. You can bring your own poles and gear if you do have it though.
During the hours of this public event, no fishing license is required. For future planning, please know that fishing licenses may be obtained at the Town of Clifton Park Town Clerk’s office, at Town Hall.
This event is open to the public. There is no fee for the event.
For more information on the Learn-to-Fish event please call (518) 371-6054.
