DESCRIPTION:The Town of Clifton Park’s Awesome Autumn Guided Bike Ride is set for Sunday\, October 7\, 2018\, with a ride start of 1 p.m. to about 4 p.m.  Meet-up is 12:45 p.m. at the Jonesville Fire Station #1\, located at 953 Main St\, Clifton Park\, NY 12065.  The guided ride will cover about 16 miles\, at a leisurely pace\, and include curated stops with historic highlights presented by Clifton Park Town Historian John Scherer.   \nThe route for this ride is northern Clifton Park\, from Jonesville into Ballston and back\, and will include on-road and off-road routes\, including a segment on the Zim Smith Trail. All riders of all ages are required to wear helmets. \nA stop at Lakeside Farms is planned as part of the journey.  Please bring your own water.  For more information please call (518) 371-6667.

DESCRIPTION:Save-the-Date for events and activities starting at 10 a.m. happening in Vischer Ferry\, one of the Town of Clifton Park’s several historic hamlets!  Family fun\, and fun for all ages!  History walks\, talks\, antique firetrucks and apparatus\, old-time games\, food\, and more!  Activities will center at the Vischer Ferry Fire Department Station\, the Vischer Ferry General Store\, and the Vischer Ferry Nature & Historic Preserve. \n10 a\,m to Noon:  Living History Stroll: Vischer Ferry Hamlet.  Meet up at the Vischer Ferry General Store\, and join “Gerardus Clute” the original proprietor of the Vischer Ferry General Store\, for a guided history walk through the hamlet\, which is listed on the Vischer Ferry National Historic District\, along with the Vischer Ferry Nature & Historic Preserve. \nWagon Rides (free) along the Erie Canal Towpath:  11 a.m.\, Noon\, 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. \n1 p.m.- Awards at the General Store: Gather around the front porch for the Town Supervisor and Town Officials to recognize outstanding Historic Preservation and Open Space community accomplishments. \n1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Antique Cars on Display at the Vischer Ferry Fire Department\, presented by the Mohawk Auto Antique Club \n2 p.m. to 3 p.m.: History Talk at the Vischer Ferry Fire Department \n4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Chicken and Biscuit Dinner at the Amity Reformed Church.  $10 tickets available through the VF General Store\, ahead of time.
