DESCRIPTION:The Town of Clifton Park’s WinterFest 2019 is Saturday\, Feb. 9. 2019 at various outdoor and indoor locations. \nCross-Country Skiing:  The Shenendehowa Nordic Club is presenting cross-country skiing at two venues: Garnsey Park and Clifton Common.  Youth Fun Classical Races will take place at Garnsey Park\, with registration at 9:30 a.m.; with intervals starting at 11:00 a.m.  Starting at 11 a.m. at Clifton Common (field in front of the ice arena)\, fun Cross-Country Ski Sprints will start at 11 a.m.  A Family Fun Relay will start at 11:30 a.m. at Clifton Common. \nIntro to Ice Fishing:  If the pond ice conditions permit\, an on-ice demonstration will be held at Barney Road Pond\, by the dock off of Valencia Lane\, between 10 a.m. and Noon.  Come and see the equipment used by ice fisherman.  The emphasis will be on appropriate clothing and gear\, safety precautions\, ice fishing strategies\, and hands-on participation in the ice fishing. \nHorse-drawn Sleigh Rides; Snow Play; S’mores at the Bonfire:at Riverview Orchards\, 660 Riverview Road\, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Winter Fun Scavenger Hunt outside. \nWarm Up Indoors: “Taste of Clifton Park” Best Soup Contest (from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.) and Clifton Park Idol singing contests *11:45 p.m. to 2 p.m.) will be held at Clifton Park Center. DESCRIPTION:The Town of Clifton Park’s Awesome Autumn Guided Bike Ride is set for Sunday\, October 7\, 2018\, with a ride start of 1 p.m. to about 4 p.m.  Meet-up is 12:45 p.m. at the Jonesville Fire Station #1\, located at 953 Main St\, Clifton Park\, NY 12065.  The guided ride will cover about 16 miles\, at a leisurely pace\, and include curated stops with historic highlights presented by Clifton Park Town Historian John Scherer.   \nThe route for this ride is northern Clifton Park\, from Jonesville into Ballston and back\, and will include on-road and off-road routes\, including a segment on the Zim Smith Trail.
